James EastwoodOur final introduction is for Bristol-based dispensing optician James Eastwood. The 35 year old who works for Dyer and Scott in Bristol started triathlon in 1989 . Eastwood has raced upto Ironman distance and is currently a coach with BADTRI triathlon club in Bristol so will be able to help the team out with any questions.
He hasn’t trained for a while so says taking part in the event will still pose a considerable challenge. More worrying is Eastwoods' reason for wanting to join the team and take part in the UK Ironman 70.3. ‘It’s widely regarded as the hardest 70.3 in the world,’ he reveals. Oh dear.
